“May all be happy, may all be healed, may all be at peace and may no one ever suffer."
Monkeypox (monkey spring) is a specialized zoonotic viral disease that affects humans and some other animals. Monkeypox is spread mostly by sharp-toothed animals, including squirrels and rodents. Monkeypox was first identified in monkeys in a laboratory in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1958. Human transmission of the disease was first observed in the 1970s.
Since 2018, research into the disease has been ongoing in Britain. Between 2018-2021, this study was conducted on a total of 7 people with monkeypox. A form of monkeypox is so virulent that 10 percent of those infected may die. According to experts, the problem of monkeypox can last for two to four weeks. However, the symptoms of this disease can spread to different parts of the body after a few days. Because the symptoms of monkeypox are similar to smallpox or waterpox, many people mistake this disease as Vasant or chicken pox at the initial stage.
