Cocculus indicus - Brands

In ancient times, people used to mix cocculus with food and throw it into the water to catch fish, and when a fish ate it, it became immobile - making it easy for people to catch. The patient of cocculus also becomes like this i.e. nervous weakness is very high in cocculus.

বহু পুরাকালে লোক মাছ ধরিবার জন্য খাদ্যের সহিত ককুলাস মিশাইয়া জলে ফেলে দিত এবং যখন কোন মাছ তা খেত তখন তার অবস্থা এমন হতো যে সে আর নড়াচড়া করতে পারত না- ফলে সহজে লোকে তাকে ধরে ফেলত। ককুলাসের রোগীও কতকটা এইরূপ হয়ে পড়ে অর্থাৎ ককুলাসে স্নায়বিক দুর্বলতা অত্যন্ত অধিক।
