Someone who is suffering from a disease is always lying still, if he moves a little, all his pains increase, even when he gets up and sits, he feels difficulty in looking with his eyes or taking breath. Bryonia is an old medicine in homeopathic materia medica. Bryonia has three genera and the differences between them are slight. Bryonia elba and Bryonia dorbaica are the two most common species of Bryonia. Among them Bryonia elba i.e. white Bryonia we use for medicinal purposes. Root arista is prepared by steeping the root of the white bryonia tree in proof spirit.

• Influenza: Strength 200 every three hours, 4 doses required 1M twice morning-afternoon.
• Cough: Strength 30 or 200 twice a day. If Bryonia does not provide complete relief, potassium carb is recommended.
• Constipation: Shakti 30 or 200 twice daily morning and afternoon.
• Back pain: Strength 6 or 30 every three hours. 200 or 1M twice a day if not fully beneficial. Lycopodium if Bryonia is not beneficial.
• Fever: Strength 200 or 1m every four hours.
• Pneumonia: Strength 6 or 30 every three hours.
• Arthritis: Shakti 30 or 200 twice a day.
• Bronchitis: Strength 30 or 200 every three to four hours.
• Headache: strength 6 or four degrees in 30 days. 200 or 1m in old cases.
• Delay in Menstruation: Strength 200 morning and afternoon twice a day. 1m per week.
• Liver inflammation: Shakti 30 or 200 twice a day. Its Q is mixed with one part, nine parts olive oil and applied externally on the liver area.
• Colds: Strength 30, 200 twice a day.
• Arthritis of the knee: Strength 3x or three times in 6 days. 200, 10m or higher power in old cases.
• Measles: Strength 30 or 200 every 3 hours.
• Boric levels: 1st to 12th strength.
