Cataract surgery is a surgical procedure used to remove a cloudy lens from the eye and replace it with an artificial lens. Cataracts occur when the natural lens of the eye becomes cloudy, leading to blurry or distorted vision. During the surgery, the patient will receive local anesthesia to numb the eye and keep them comfortable.
