Metronidazole - Brands

Metronidazole is a member of the imidazole class of antibacterial drug and is classified therapeutically as an antiprotozoal agent. The 5-nitro group of Metronidazole is reduced by anaerobes metabolically. Studies have demonstrated that the reduced form of this drug interacts with DNA and gives bactericidal action of Metronidazole.

মেট্রোনিডাজল হল অ্যান্টিব্যাকটেরিয়াল ওষুধের ইমিডাজল শ্রেণীর সদস্য এবং থেরাপিউটিকভাবে অ্যান্টিপ্রোটোজোয়াল এজেন্ট হিসাবে শ্রেণীবদ্ধ করা হয়। মেট্রোনিডাজলের 5-নাইট্রো গ্রুপ অ্যানেরোব বিপাকীয়ভাবে হ্রাস পায়। গবেষণায় দেখা গেছে যে এই ওষুধের হ্রাসকৃত ফর্ম ডিএনএর সাথে মিথস্ক্রিয়া করে এবং মেট্রোনিডাজলের ব্যাকটেরিয়াঘটিত প্রভাব দেয়।
