Linestrenol and ethinyl estradiol is a combined contraceptive pill indicated as an oral contraceptive.
Take the pill as directed at the same time each day as possible. Start taking the pill on the first day of your period. The pill can be started any day within days 2-5 of the period, but in that case a condom should be used for the first seven days of the pill during the first month. Take 1 pill every day for 22 consecutive days. After 6 days pill free period start taking pills from next new packet.
Within these 6 days you will have your period which can sometimes last until the start of the next pack. Start the next packet of this pill on the seventh day even if menstruation continues. As long as you don't want to have children, continue taking the pill in this manner.
In cases where you cannot use combined contraceptives-
In the early stages, some may experience some temporary side effects such as headache, dizziness, nausea, or spotting while taking the pill. But if you take the pill regularly, all these symptoms will naturally disappear within two to three months. There is no reason to worry too much about these symptoms. However, if the side effects continue for a longer period, a doctor must be consulted.
Other physical conditions that may cause circulatory problems but are unrelated to combined contraceptive use require caution. For example, diabetes mellitus, systemic lupus erythematosus, hemolytic uremic syndrome, chronic inflammation in the stomach, etc. in all these cases definitely need caution. Frequent migraines, tumors, chronic problems with liver function also require caution. Women who are breast-feeding also need caution as the combined contraceptive pill may alter the quantity and quality of breast milk. Diabetic women need to be careful when using combined oral contraceptives, especially when starting to eat. Women with a history of chloesma gravidarum should avoid sun exposure.
Consult a doctor if you experience any of the following side effects, such as breast tenderness, headaches, migraines, contact lens discomfort, various skin problems, edema, changes in body weight, among users of combined contraceptive pills.
If the pill is not taken at the specified time and if it does not exceed 12 hours, the effectiveness of the pill is maintained. In this case, take the pill as soon as you remember and take the next pill at the right time.
If more than 12 hours pass, the effectiveness of the pill decreases. Then you have to follow the following rules. Remember to take special precautions if you forget to take the pill on any day during the 1st and 3rd week. Otherwise the risk of pregnancy may be high.
