A tonic medicine is special after a debilitating fever. It is also used in fever like quinine but without ill effects.

Lots of watery stools and bowel movements. Heat and discomfort in the lower bowels. Diarrhea in camp, bloody stools, dysentery, malaria and after drinking contaminated water. Painless watery stools (phosphoric acid). Vomiting begins almost immediately after a meal.

ম্যালেরিয়া রােগসহ উদরাময়, আমাশয়, রক্তাল্পতা, দুর্বল পরিপাকশক্তি, এই হল ঔষধটি নির্বাচনের সার্বিক অবস্থা। পাকস্থলীতে শূন্যবােধ উদরে অবসন্নতা তৎসহ দুর্বলতা এই ঔষধের বৈশিষ্টপূর্ণ লক্ষণ।

দুর্বলকর জ্বরের পর একটি বলকারক ঔষধ বিশেষ। এটিও কুইনাইনের মত জ্বরে ব্যবহার হয় কিন্তু কুফল ছাড়াই।

প্রচুর পাতলা জলের মত মল ও অন্ত্রে মােচড়ানি। অন্ত্রের নিম্নাংশে উত্তাপ ও অস্বস্তি। শিবিরে থাকা ব্যক্তিদের উদরাময়, রক্তযুক্ত মল, আমাশয়, ম্যালেরিয়া রােগের পর ও দৃষিত জলপান করার পর উদরাময়। যন্ত্রনাহীণ জলের মত মল (ফসফোরিক অ্যাসিড)। খাবার প্রায় পরে পরেই উদরাময় শুরু হয়।
