Pharmacology

Tolnaftate is an antifungal which inhibits growth of dermatophytes e.g. Epidermophyton, Microsporum, trichophyton spp, and Malassezia furfur by distorting the hyphae and stopping mycelial growth. It is inactive against Candida spp or bacteria.

Tolnaftate হল একটি অ্যান্টিফাঙ্গাল যা ডার্মাটোফাইটের বৃদ্ধিকে বাধা দেয় যেমন এপিডার্মোফাইটন, মাইক্রোস্পোরাম, ট্রাইকোফাইটন এসপিপি, এবং ম্যালাসেজিয়া ফুরফুর হাইফাকে বিকৃত করে এবং মাইসেলিয়ালের বৃদ্ধি বন্ধ করে। এটি ক্যান্ডিডা এসপিপি বা ব্যাকটেরিয়ার বিরুদ্ধে নিষ্ক্রিয়।
