“May all be happy, may all be healed, may all be at peace and may no one ever suffer."
Linestrenol and ethinyl estradiol is a combined contraceptive pill indicated as an oral contraceptive.
The first tablet of the first packet should be taken on the first day of menstruation. The same procedure should be followed for switching brands and using other brands of oral contraceptives. One pill should be taken at the same time every day without any interruption for 22 days. The remaining 6 days are the tablet-free period. After the expiry of the pill-free period of those 6 days, the next packet of tablets should be started.
Administration
If you are not currently taking any tablets:
In the early stages, some temporary side effects such as headache, nausea, weight gain, mood changes, breast pain, high blood pressure, blood clots in the arteries, liver and kidney function problems etc. may occur.
If you forget to take one or more tablets:
If the tablet is not taken at the scheduled time and does not exceed 12 hours, take the missed tablet as soon as you remember. Take the next tablets at the right time as per the schedule. In this case the full functionality of the tablet will be maintained. If more than 12 hours pass, the effectiveness of the tablet decreases. In this case you have to take two tablets the next day. Take the first forgotten tablet as soon as you remember and the other at the regular time of day. Finish taking the whole packet of tablets as usual. In this case, your partner must use extra-precautionary contraception (eg condoms) for the next 14 days or until the start of your next period, whichever is the latest.
Pregnancy and lactation
It should not be used during pregnancy.
