Cefazolin is a 1st generation broad spectrum parenteral Cephalosporin antibiotic.It interferes with the synthesis of bacterial cell wall by inhibiting transpeptidase enzyme. As a result the bacterial cell wall is weakened,the cell swells and then ruptures.

সেফাজোলিন হল ১ম প্রজন্মের ব্রড স্পেকট্রাম প্যারেন্টেরাল সেফালোস্পোরিন অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক। এটি ট্রান্সপেপ্টিডেস এনজাইমকে বাধা দিয়ে ব্যাকটেরিয়ার কোষ প্রাচীরের সংশ্লেষণে হস্তক্ষেপ করে। ফলে ব্যাকটেরিয়া কোষের প্রাচীর দুর্বল হয়ে যায়, কোষ ফুলে যায় এবং তারপর ফেটে যায়।
